Curriculum
Kidworks Learning Center follows an Emergent Curriculum. A curriculum is developed by the teachers based on the children’s interests and their own interests and talents as adults to guide his/her planning. Teachers reflect on their observations of and interactions with their children in planning their individual programs.
The curriculum is implemented by staff in a variety of ways such as:
Hands-on learning. We believe that children learn best from the discoveries they make through play. Setting realistic goals for the children based on assessments of needs and interests.
A daily schedule that provides a balance of activities within the following dimensions:
-indoor/outdoor
-active/quiet
-individual/small group/large group
-child-initiated/teacher facilitated
